Guadalupe Café opened in Sylva’s beautiful
downtown Main Street in 2003, taking over the former
home of Hooper’s Drug Store. Though we still have the checkered floor, the antique bar-stools
and the vintage soda fountain (for decoration only), we’ve transformed the space into a friendly
neighborhood restaurant and bar. We’ve replaced the hot dogs and milkshakes with our
Caribbean-inspired fusion cuisine, a diverse selection of wines from Spain and Latin-America
and micro-brewed beers from across the nation and right down the street.
We are a farm-to-table eatery, which means we strive to use locally-grown and organic
ingredients whenever possible. Open our menu and you’ll see "Fresh. Local. Organic."
written across the page. This isn’t just our motto, it’s our creed. We've built
relationships with local producers so that your food comes straight from their garden to
our kitchen. Our goal is to provide the freshest and best tasting food possible, and we
are proud to announce that Gourmet magazine featured us as a national example of the
fresh-and-local movement.
Guadalupe Café is open for dinner Monday through Saturday nights.
We are also open for lunch on Saturdays. Our menu offers customizable burritos, nachos
and quesadillas, as well as our specialty menu of tapas and entrées, and daily specials
to showcase our freshest and most delicious ingredients. We
also include several selections for vegan and vegetarian diners.
The café also serves host to live musical performances
featuring different bands of
all genres, originating from both the local area and throughout the country. Our walls
also act as a gallery for exhibits from Sylva and Cullowhee artists.
If you’re looking for a delicious meal in a cozy space or a tasty brew with an exciting show,
we hope you’ll come by for a visit.
