All of these nonprofits are involved in food & sustainability issues in one way or another:
addressing gaps in local food security, offering medical care to WNC's farmworkers, educating the public about ways we impact water quality (& how local water quality impacts us), helping farmers both near & far to be both profitable & sustainable, providing training to small-biz start-ups, teaching schoolkids about fresh local food, advocating for everyone's right to healthy foods, and even a couple of groups that study & share knowledge about how ranches & farms can support wildlife, fight climate change & preserve waterways while providing nutrient-dense, ethically raised meat & other foods to local human communities.
